The History of Norman Collett Ltd

Norman Collett Limited, formed in 1977 specialise in marketing English Top Fruit to the multiple sector. This produce is grown by members of  Mid-Kent Growers Ltd. together with several independent growers.

The business continues to grow today and due to large investment and replanting hectarage increases on average by 10% each year.

All our growers are family business' dedicated to growing quality top fruit and all are Assured Produce Scheme and Tesco Nature. The fruit is packed at any one of our 9 water floatation packhouse sites within Kent, all sites are capable of high volume production and have third party accreditation.

Many growers have controlled atmosphere stores providing long-term storage for certain varieties giving greater flexibility in marketing each season.

Logistics and marketing is controlled from our depot located at Paddock Wood, where labeling and additional quality checks are carried out by our own QC team before despatch.

Trading for 30 years we have established a professional working relationship coupled with an excellent record for providing quality English fruit to several of the main retailers including Tesco Stores.
